Bordentown, NJ

One of the things I love about Jersey is that each town is rich in history. And if we’re lucky, some of its charm is preserved in a downtown area bustling with small businesses complete with yummy eateries and quaint shops. I was there this past Sunday for some family festivities and plan to go back to explore a bit. Here are a few snapshots with my crazy little Goddaughter. All I wanted was one picture with her and it took about 20 takes. Here’s a summary:

I love this chickadee! Brunch & sweet treats are next on the agenda for this cozy NJ town.

Flea Market: Hells Kitchen

Superior OOTD Boxed water is better Card Catalog Ornate Mirror

This past Sunday I stopped by the Hells Kitchen Flea Market during a little Sunday Funday in the city. Unfortunately, due to what I’m assuming is the seasonal lull, there was much left to be desired. It’s just too cold for most vendors to be out there so it’s probably best to check it out during the summer. There’s a bunch more pics I’ve got in store from the day but more on that later. In the meantime, there are always interesting things to take pictures of at a flea market. I think it’s often the coolest backdrop being surrounded by the quirky, random, and antique.

E. Tittlemouse & Co.

The recent migration of new residents flocking to Jersey City has brought lots of interesting developments to the city. Often dubbed “the 6th borough”, my hometown is steadily coming out of its shadow of the NYC limelight. Among these sprouting local establishments is E. Tittlemouse & Co. and it has easily become one of my new favorite boutiques offering up thrifted designer pieces, carefully curated by Napoleon, the dapperest nice guy you’ll ever meet.

LA, LA

Beverly Hills

A while back I traveled to LA for work and while it was mostly business, a few of us made the best of it and tried to get out of the hotel and conference room every chance we could get before our heads exploded. It wasn’t easy as it was a jam packed weekend, hence the mirror selfies below to keep me entertained.

Bathroom

Thinking of starting a running theme of bathroom selfies titled #toiletseries.

Hair selfie

Some days the hair just has a mind of its own.

The Beverly Hilton

This is seriously what kept me occupied while stuck in a conference for 8 hours. However, it has been said that doodling actually enhances concentration and promotes creativity during brainstorm sessions. I BELIEVE IT.

See ya again soon LA. I’ll be back for more Porto’s goodies & the Rose Bowl.
