One of the things I love about Jersey is that each town is rich in history. And if we’re lucky, some of its charm is preserved in a downtown area bustling with small businesses complete with yummy eateries and quaint shops. I was there this past Sunday for some family festivities and plan to go back to explore a bit. Here are a few snapshots with my crazy little Goddaughter. All I wanted was one picture with her and it took about 20 takes. Here’s a summary:
I love this chickadee! Brunch & sweet treats are next on the agenda for this cozy NJ town.
A while back I traveled to LA for work and while it was mostly business, a few of us made the best of it and tried to get out of the hotel and conference room every chance we could get before our heads exploded. It wasn’t easy as it was a jam packed weekend, hence the mirror selfies below to keep me entertained.
Thinking of starting a running theme of bathroom selfies titled #toiletseries.
Some days the hair just has a mind of its own.
This is seriously what kept me occupied while stuck in a conference for 8 hours. However, it has been said that doodling actually enhances concentration and promotes creativity during brainstorm sessions. I BELIEVE IT.
See ya again soon LA. I’ll be back for more Porto’s goodies & the Rose Bowl.
A must-have when traveling is to hit up the local flea market of whatever city/town I’m in. Imagine my delight when I learned of the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. It turned out to be more of a tourist haven for souvenirs than an indie or vintage hotspot, but it was fun regardless. Not to mention, I found some gems for quite the bargain. Floral everything, fresh coconut juice, and watching tikis being carved were the highlights of this flea market trip.
P.S. Snuck in a couple of shots from the luau we went to. Just because.
One of the few signage at the swap meet was on this garbage can. It was quite charming. I like the font.
I had been looking all over for fresh coconut juice straight out the coconut and I finally found it here!
This was such a pretty piece in person.
With my best friend and the groom!
On the way to the airport – fitting in one last Hawaiian treat! (while my legs blend in with the scenery)
Aloha! I miss you already Hawaii.

Way overdue for a blog post and so much has been going on that I don’t know where to begin! I’ve been MIA partly because of some vacation time in Hawaii for a friend’s wedding. It was my first time and safe to say, I’m in love! Hawaii is such a beautiful place it’s no wonder my friends chose it as their nuptial destination. Being the tourists that we are, we stayed in Waikiki as we wanted to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but still drove up to the North Shore almost everyday for wedding activities and some serene, breathtaking views. We all left obsessed with the food, culture, environment, people, history, etc. No one wanted to leave. Surprisingly, I’ve come back rejuvenated with motivation, albeit with some jetlag here and there. Here’s part 1 of my photo journal:
